The unit is fully powered by the Device (Smartphone / Tablet), No battery or charger needed. 
The Smart Geiger is fully compatible with iOS and Android 4.2 above. The application can be downloaded from the App Store / Google Play by searching "smart geiger" or "FTLAB"

* Please kindly check whether your phone is Android 4.2 above or iOS. 
* Old Model like a Galaxy GT 900, Nexus Tablet Not be able to work because earphone spec is OMAP, but If you use OMAP to CTIA Earphone Adapter, you can use with Smart Geiger. 
NOTE: Turn off Wi-Fi and data network.
