Since its inceotion in 2004, Taeyang Export Farming Cooperative has specialized in exporting Jeju cabbage, a winter vegetable. For field-grown cabbage, the cooperative avoids price competition with Chinese producers. instead, it has focused on safe agridultural produdts, stable quality, and supply system(Plan 3).

This approach has fostered competitiveness. To achirve this, the cooperative implements pre-contract cultivation and rigorous cultivation histore management, ensuring farmers a stable income from winter vegetables. Korean cabbage has been exported to a japanese agent for 12years, and pre-contract cultivation has also been implemented in Taiwan since 2015. Leveraging this accumulated exportise in cultivation history management, the cooperativ built the first GAP-certifind facility in Jeju in 2015, producing GAP agricultural products. Leveraging its experience in contract cultivation, the cooperatine is committed to ensuring a stable supply to domestic retailer E-Mart. We contract with approximately 25 contact famers to cultivate approximately 70,000 pyeong of cabbage, 10,000 pyeong of Brussels sprouts, and 5,000 pyeong of green onions annually. We also continuously conduct trial cultivation of specialty vegetables(kalenets, fennel, etc.).
