On December 3, 2014, a Qatari buyer asked tradeKorea to introduce a Korean piston groove grinding machine manufacturer with a history of export to the Middle East. The request was intended for their project of preparing vessel repair equipment for shipyards.

A tradeKorea matching specialist referred to the buyer three Korean companies formerly exporting to the Middle East, with including Changwon Precision Ind. Co., Ltd. Surprisingly, the buyer's acquaintance recommended the aforementioned manufacturer since they had already imported machines from Changwon Precision Ind. Co., Ltd. The buyer wanted detailed information about piston groove grinding machines from the Korean manufacturing company; so he contacted the tradeKorea matching specialist.

An overseas sales representative of Changwon Precision Ind. Co., Ltd. expressed the company’s intention to expand overseas. In particular, since the company had been exporting to the Middle East, they entered into active negotiations with the Qatari buyer. During the early negotiation stage, the buyer and Changwon Precision Ind. Co., Ltd. could not agree on prices. They had been negotiating for three months, however, and almost finally came to an agreement.

For successful transactions, the buyer requested Changwon Precision Ind. Co., Ltd. to provide verification information for dozens of items for the vendor registration process. Changwon Precision Ind. Co., Ltd. spent about a month preparing all the necessary documents. After delivering the buyer’s request, though, they lost contact for a few months and no transactions could be made.

Three months later, the buyer kept in touch to deliver this news to Changwon Precision Ind. Co., Ltd.: "Congratulations, your company has been registered as our vendor." The business deal was successfully made exactly after a year. The buyer expressed their appreciation of the tradeKorea matching specialist’s generous support. The matching specialist, in turn, promised to actively support them in the future. Currently, Changwon Precision Ind. Co., Ltd. is manufacturing a piston groove grinding machine, ahead of shipment in December.
