A buyer from Egypt asked if it is possible to urgently import Korean aluminum frying pans via Global Business Matchning Service (GBMS) of tradeKorea.com. Due to The Egyptian government’s new regulation on aluminum content, the buyer experienced difficulties to supply the products that he used to import. Therefore, they buyer contacted GBMS on tradeKorea.com, which he was well aware of, to check the possibility of urgent purchasing.

The matching specialist at tradeKorea checked the detailed information of product that the buyer wants through the prompt consultation and sent the list of twelve domestic manufacturers and trading companies who are able to supply the product. The buyer immediately came to Korea in March, after participating in 2014 Canton Fair in China, and had meetings with all the officials from the companies that the matching specialist recommended for five days. 

The matching specialist of tradeKorea accompanied the buyer in every meeting and assisted the buyer’s requirements and Korean companies’ communication. Finally, a total of three companies went into intensified negotiations with the buyer. For the fast export, the matching specialist persuaded the Korean companies to send the products of three companies to Egypt. After receiving the products, the buyer immediately requested an inspection of the authorities for the government’s certification.

However, Ramadan, a national holiday in Egypt, coincided with the process and slowed the progress. In addition, the features of products from the three companies did not meet the Egyptian government’s standards in the first test. Yet, Korean company “Silvat” did not give up and succeeded to develop the perfect product to satisfy the Egyption government’s strict regulations by adjusting some components in the manufacturing. Eventually, the product passed the final round of the Egyptian authorities’ approval process and they signed a contract in October, 2014. Now, the buyer is constantly negotiating with Silvat to place the additional order.
